Our goals

In terms of our 2024-25 goals, we aren’t making any crazy changes to our 2023-24 goals. We missed some, could improve on others, and are happy if we achieve the rest. We have been re-setting our goals for the next three years though (25-28).

Governance

Governance to us means operating fairly and squarely as an impact business. We will continue to challenge ourselves, sharing transparently with our team, clients and anyone else who’s interested. Like you!

Environment

We choose to work with organisations that have climate action as their sole purpose. We also do what we can in our own operations to reduce our carbon footprint and advocate for climate-worthy causes. We’re not perfect, but no business is. The goal is to get a little better every year, shrinking our footprint, refining our processes, and putting our effort where it'll do the most good.

Community

We’ve always been keenly aware that the work we do isn’t where the job stops – in fact it’s just the beginning. We want to actively engage and inspire the communities we’re a part of. We want to educate our clients (and ourselves) and spread our impact around.

Team

We didn’t quite grow the team as planned this year (see more below), but that’s okay. The important thing is we have the right people in the right roles, and everyone gets energy from their work, most of the time. If we can nail that, we’re happy.

Clients

This year, we met our target for impact level ‘amazing’ (our highest level of impact discounting) but went a little over on ‘good’ clients (full fees) and a little under on ‘great’ impact clients.

Results

Did we achieve our goals? Yes, sorta and no. We’ve used a traffic light system to report on the goals (11 green, 3 orange, 4 red). Most notably we didn’t quite hit the mark in team and revenue growth, which flowed onto to our pro bono / impact investing and donation commitments.‍

Executive Summary

Our fifth year (FY 23/24) was refined and big, with 32 wonderful clients, 10 Webflow and Shopify launches, lots of design and our biggest customer research project to date! But it wasn’t all rainbows. Growth didn’t quite go as planned, and we continued refining our processes (scope creep, here’s looking at you).
